October 2009

After 88 years, the Savage Rapids Dam has been removed from the Rogue River.  DMG floats over the site of the dam, shooting interviews with salmon advocates for NATURE.



September 2009

Driving a model T across country, building an adobe fort, and a regiment of Civil War re-enactors are all part of shooting additional vignettes for Nomlaqa Boda.

Harry collaborates with artist Fernanda D’Agostino shooting aerials of Tribal Journey 2009: Paddle to Suquamish.  This sculpture/video artwork was commissioned for installation in SeaTac’s new transit mall.  For more on this annual inter-tribal event, click here.

Meighan and Harry travel to New Hampshire to ink a partnership with Dartmouth College and the Association of Regional and Small Libraries, developing math and science projects.



June 2009

The documentary film CORSO, The Last Beat premieres in Taormina Film Festival (Sicily) (June 13 – 20) and is awarded “Best Film”.  Featuring cinematography by Harry Dawson, with shooting locations from Greenwich Village to Rome, this documentary follows Gregory Corso as he seeks his Muse in the wake of Allen Ginsberg’s death. Created by Director/Writer/Producer Gustave Reininger and Hosted by Ethan Hawke.       See the trailer now!



May 2009

The dynamic sculpture/video Flight Studies opens in Bilbao (Spain) and in China.  Cinematography: Harry Dawson in collaboration with artist Fernanda D’Agostino.


Harry’s work with Bill Viola was awarded the Premi Internacional Catalunya 2009.  Harry has been the Cinematographer for all of Bill’s groundbreaking pieces since 1991.  See the news here.
